Communication interface

The BSM series ModbusRTU serial I / O module has one RS232 and one RS485 communication interface port, and the two communication ports can be used simultaneously. When using the RS232 interface, it can only form an 11 network with the master station (due to the RS232 control of the master hardware interface). When using the RS485 bus, it can form a 1: 1 or 1: N network. That is, one Modbus master device is connected to one or more Modbus slave devices at the same time (each slave device must use a different station number).

Communication Interface
The communication interface of this product is divided into RS232 and RS485. The communication distance of the RS232 communication method cannot theoretically exceed 15 meters, and can only be used as a communication connection established between the master device and a single slave device. The communication distance of RS485 communication method can theoretically reach 1000 meters, but affected by many factors such as the field environment and communication cables, the communication distance will be reduced. RS485 communication can realize a communication connection between a master device and multiple slave devices.
